(More customer reviews)This unit does not filter air. Its a space heater. It has an electric heating element within a ceramic chamber. The ceramic is there to shield the cheap plastic components from the heating element; similar to the ceramit tiles on the space shuttles. The ceramic does nothing else.
You don't hear it working because there are no moving parts. Cool air is pulled through the bottom of the unit due to convective air movement. Hot air expels out the top.
The blue light is a blue light, what more did you expect?In summary; if you're looking for a blue nightlight in a black plastic housing that could be easily modded into a darth vader helmet feel free to buy this product. It does not filter air though. So if looking for an air filter, look elsewhere.
