(More customer reviews)I just bought this vacuum to replace an old Hoover Wind Tunnel (which had very powerful suction) and a newer bagless Electrolux (which I hate). I tried this Kenmore in the store beforehand and it seemed to work pretty well.
But when I used it at home I found that although it has enough suction (1) it is VERY heavy and clunky to push around the house[it has no self-propelling motor](2) the flexible portion of the hose is very stiff and, since it does not reach quite far enough to get the corners of an 8-ft ceiling, it is uncomfortable to use (3) the flexible hose is permanently attached to a plastic telescopic wand which makes using it on ceiling fans impossible or high shelves hazardous, and (4) the suction while better than the Electrolux is not as powerful as my old Hoover.
I could probably put up with the heavy clunkiness of this machine, but, as I do ordinarily vacuum bookshelves, ceiling/wall joins and ceiling fans, I don't think this vacuum is going to work for me and I will return it in the hope of finding something better.
